My Phay passed away on Jan. 21st and I still don't know what to say. He was my main musical influence and partner. He taught me about Waylon Jennings and Django Reinhardt and how to use heavy strings for tone on rhythm guitar and to get my downstroke with the snare drum. He also taught me to be proud and wild. I will always love him. Words fail me now. There are so many stories that hopefully will come to me and I will share by and by. I just want to say that Phay was a wink in the universe. He made everything skip a beat. He was stubborn and innovative all at the same time, and he made me look at things in a new way. If you were Phay's friend and you had a hangup that was silly you were going to get rid of it!

Phay, I will always miss you and look up at the stars for your message. Give me a sign, and I will follow! Reporting front and center!
