So we had all this damage from Hurricane Katrina (that bitch!), and we're just now getting our house repaired. A new roof that still leaks (over $14,000!). They came and put a cap on the chimney today, so maybe it's fixed. We also have newly patched and painted ceilings and new carpet. We ruined our new wood floors. We decided we would put a couple of coats of polyurethane on them (we're hard on floors), so I did the first one. This is really hard because it's a large area, and I had to work fast or it would clump up and have sponge mop marks. I finally got it done, and it looked pretty good. Buzz said he would do another coat in the morning. Well, now we have to sand it down cause there are footprints and glops all in it! He feels bad. I'm getting a sander/buffer today to fix it. He needs to stick with fixing the cars, and I need to stick with putting the polyurethane down.

We also have everything we own on our front porch... for a week now! We can't find any of our underwear.

So we've decided to become REAL rednecks and go to the casino tomorrow to gamble away all our money!

Hurricanes, wild pigs, casinos, polyurethane, and all our stuff on the porch! Sounds like a country song.

We'd light a bonfire if it would quit raining.
